Silver sits quietly against morning suits and lighter palettes. Gold carries more warmth and reads richer against navy or black. Both have a solid stainless steel core with a polished plated finish, and both are finished and engraved to the same standard, so the choice is one of tone rather than quality.
What to engrave
Initials are the most enduring choice and engrave most cleanly. Our date designs pair initials with the wedding date; the Personal Message design allows up to 30 characters, and tie clips up to eight. Cufflinks are small, so shorter text always engraves more beautifully — less really is more. The live preview shows you the design and layout of your personalisation before you order; the finished piece is a fine laser etch on polished metal, which catches the light in the hand.
Ordering for the whole wedding party
Groom, best man, groomsmen and both fathers can share one design while each man's pair carries his own initials. Personalise one set at a time and add each to your bag before starting the next — the usual approach for groomsmen and family groups.
When to order
Every piece is engraved to order and is typically dispatched within 2 to 3 business days, Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 4pm UK time, or at a weekend, begin preparation on the next working day. If your date is close, contact us before ordering and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
Frequently asked questions
What can I have engraved?
Initials, your wedding date, or a short message using our wedding engraving designs. Engraving is applied to the front face as part of the design layout; we do not engrave the back.
How much text fits?
Monogram and initials designs take two or three initials. Date designs take initials and a date. The Personal Message design allows up to 30 characters, and tie clips up to eight.
Is personalisation included?
Yes. Standard engraving using our designs is included in the product price, with no setup fee.
Can the two cufflinks be engraved differently?
No. The same engraving is applied to both cufflinks in a pair, which gives a balanced, considered finish. Separate sets can each carry their own engraving.
Can I use my own design, logo or crest?
We offer a bespoke engraving service. Artwork is reviewed for suitability before ordering — simple, clean line designs give the best result at this scale. Submit your design for review.
